Airlie Beach, Australia Photo Gallery
Morning time coming into Airlie Beach.
We are taking a flight out over the Great Barrier Reef.
Off we go.
We flew over our ship.
We also flew over an island with a golf course.
The views are getting very pretty.
The Whitsunday Island and Whitehaven Beach in the top left corner which stretches 7 km.
God sure knows how to paint a scene! Hill Inlet, just stunning!
We arrive at the reef and it's so vibrant!
The heart shaped reef.
We're just in a little section of this reef & its so huge!
It's the largest living organism on earth.

InterContinental Hayman Island Resort.
We were one seat behind the cockpit. Brian enjoyed watching what the pilot was doing, since he knows how to fly a plane.
Looking towards the town of Airlie Beach.
Brian and the pilot.
Masked Lapwing.

Box jellyfish make the beaches unsafe to swim in, so the town has this large free lagoon.
The Lagoon.
Cycads Encephalartos-I'd never seen this in a palm-like tree.
It's a cute touristy beach town.
We had a yummy lunch here.
Airlie Beach.
I loved all the different colors of the sea here, and was surprised at all the islands on the coast of Australia.
