There was entertainment on the port for us when we got to China.
They had drones taking photos of the show.
They performed a dragon show for us.

They made formations that I think must mean something.

More greeters at the port dressed traditionally.
These big buildings are a ghost town, which means they have been built, but no one lives there yet, maybe someday. This is a common sight in areas of China.
They had a Memorial Day holiday this week (see the decorated graves), but then had to work Sunday to make up for the day off from work.
This was a grave along the road on a farm. If I understood our guide correctly, graves are no longer allowed, only cremation. But farm people have them anyway.
A fish farm.
Spring flowers were blooming everywhere! I was looking forward to Japan and cherry blossoms and didn't even think about what spring would be like in China.

A regular train and a fast train.

Some sections are very steep! The Badaling section of the wall is usually very crowded. We were surprised, but happy that it was not crowded at all on this day.
Brian on The Great Wall. Notice that Brian is leaning on is the inside lower wall. The opposite wall is higher and has spaces for the warriors to shoot from.
Gwen on the Great Wall.
Going down the funicular. There are so many apricot trees in the valley.
