Lausanne, Switzerland Photo Gallery
This is a terrible photo, but we started the day with the best pastry we had on the whole trip at Fripsquare Café.
I was very excited to be visiting the Olympic Museum.
The entrance to the museum where I could have stayed all day, but didn't have enough time for that.
These Latin words mean "Faster, Higher, Stronger," the original motto of the Olympics. Now the word "Together" has been added.

A bicycle statue in the park.
We visited Olympia in 2017 on a different trip. I really liked this illustration as to how it would've looked not in ruins. These games were abolished in 393 AD.
Pierre de Coubertin was the man responsible for reviving the Olympic Games. He sketched the Olympic rings on this letter and it is one of the earliest examples of the rings.
This is just 4 of the torches used in the caldron lighting of the opening ceremony. The far right one was used at the 2012 London games that I was at.
I'll never forget these outfits of ice dancers Torvill & Dean skating to "Bolero." Katarina Witt wore the red outfit.
Jim Craig's jersey in the "Miracle on Ice."
Kerri Strug's gymnastic uniform.
The "Dream Team" gold winning basketball.
Replica of Mark Spitz's swim suit.
Jessie Owen's gold medal winning shoes from the 1936 Olympics.
An example of all the games' medals that we saw.
Brian is testing out his balance skills. He did very well, better than the teenagers that came up later.

Brian absolutely loved his pizza at Le Raisin. My pasta was good, too.
