We were driving towards Mullinavat and made a detour when we saw a Tipperary sign, because of the song we wanted to see this town.

The Maid of Erin-This is a memorial to the Manchester Martyrs, 3 men whose portraits are on the sides. The female figure on top has been seen as the personification of Ireland, fused with the Virgin Mary.

Hurling is the No. 1 sport in Tipperary. Tipperary has won 28 All-Ireland Senior Hurling titles and over 60 All-Ireland titles in all grades. So I learned a little about a new sport.
