We made a quick trip to Waterford, whose name comes from an old Norse word, Vedrarfjordr that can be traced back to the 9th century.
This Viking sculpture was inspired by the bow of Viking ships. The interlocking designs show the infinity patterns that showed Vikings traveled around the world but always navigated back home.

Reginald's Tower is named after the Viking who founded Waterford in 914 and formed the apex of the triangular settlement, an area known to this day as the Viking Triangle.

The EPIC Irish Emigration Museum in Dublin covers the history of the Irish diaspora and emigration to other countries, which was interesting to me since I had ancestors who emigrated from Ireland.
The exhibition is made up of twenty galleries, where you get your "passport" stamped in each room. This one highlighted all of the Irish famous authors.
