Dubrovnik, Croatia Photo Gallery
Photos from the ship as we arrive at Dubrovnik.
We had an island hopping tour here thanks to Doug and Margaret's children. It was a Christmas gift to them that we and the Lammerding's were invited to share. We see our beautiful ship on the way out.
The Franjo Tudjman Bridge with our ship plus one more.
The day was beautiful!
A photo of the rocky shore and a lighthouse.
The guys started out at the front of the boat and here the captain took us in to see a cave.
I think this is where we got out and snorkeled into one cave. The light shining into the cave lit it up in a beautiful blue color. We enjoyed seeing the fish, also.
There were many caves along the way. We snorkeled at 2 of the spots. The 2nd spot had 3 caves.
A church along the way.
This is RMH Lazure Luxury Apartments-Doesn't it look like the back of a cruise ship?
We pass the Lopud Franciscan Monastery on our way into the island.
The first island that we got off on was Lopud, an Elaphite island. This photo is looking towards the Djordjic Mayneri Park(Botanical Gardens).
Brian and Heinrich standing before the Four Gospel Columns in the garden.
An arch decorated with various shells and peaces of blue murano glass.
A pollen covered bumblebee.
This garden was a garden established in the late 1800s – a garden so important that its creation influenced Dubrovnik’s garden tradition.
This cat followed us around, at a distance, for quite awhile.
Looking from the park back out to the sea.
The Lopud Franciscan Monastery was founded in 1483. It is now an event center and hotel.
The Rogers and Lammerdings walking along the pretty seafront in this quaint little town.
A Lopud beach with RMH Lopud Lafodia, Resort & Wellness in the very back looking like cruise ships.
Back on the boat we see this arch.
We see the Royal Clipper again.
Galleon Tirena, which provides tours around the islands. There are over a thousand islands along Croatia's coastline.
Sudurad on the Elaphite island of Sipan.
The Hotel Bozica where we had lunch.
The guys are ready for lunch.
The Hotel Bozica looked very nice.
Looking across the bay at the Croatian mountains.
Villa Aurora, constructed at the turn of the 20th century by Vito of the Gozze dynasty.
Our last stop was the Cave Bar More.
It's a real cave.
Heinrich, Renske, and Brian in the cave.
On our sail away I put on my zoom lens and took a photo of old town Dubrovnik with it's wall, which we had visited on another trip.
Another beautiful scene as we sail away from this beautiful country that I would love to visit again someday.
