Agadir, Morocco Photo Gallery
Doug had heard about goats in trees, so we went to see if we could see this ourselves.
There were just a few people at the goat tree when arrived.
The reason they climb is to get food, specifically the Argan tree's fruit.
This tree, also known as the “Tree of Life” to the Berbers, grows exclusively in the south-west of Morocco in the Souss Plain.
The Argan Tree Fruit-For centuries, women have been passing down the traditional methods of extracting Argan Oil. It can take about 30 Kg of Argan Nuts and 10 to 12 hours of work to produce just one liter of oil.
More goats in trees-I think it's pretty impressive how they stand in the tree or even climb there.
This is the goat herder.
We got to see a baby and momma goat.
Here I get to hold the baby goat.
Another photo of me holding the baby goat.
Margaret Holding the baby goat while feeding another.
Oh no, the goat's hooves hurt her side!
Our guide pointed out the soccer stadium that will be hosting the 2030 FIFA World Cup. I thought that Agadir was much nicer than Casablanca. We were told that the current king is from this city and there is a lot of construction getting ready for this World Cup.
The Kasbah of Agadir-Kasbah means fortification, and that’s what it was, a construction of sturdy ramparts.
These airplanes seemed to be hanging over the edge of the mountain. We could see this from the ship once the fog cleared.
